بکلین ۱ (انگلیسی: Beclin-1) یک پروتئین است که در انسان توسط ژن «BECN1» کُدگذاری می‌شود.^[۴]^[۵] این پروتئین با Bcl-2 و «PI-3K نوع ۳» تعامل پروتئین-پروتئین دارد و نقش بسیار مهمی در تنظیم خودخواری و مرگ یاخته ایفا می‌کند.

اهمیت بالینی

بکلین ۱ از طریق دخالت در خودخواری و مرگ یاخته، نقش مهمی در سرطان‌زایی و زوال عصبی انسان بازی می‌کند.^[۶] در سرطان‌های تخمدانی که این میزان خودخواری بالاست، ماهیت تهاجمی کمتری دارد و پاسخ بهتری به شیمی‌درمانی می‌دهند.^[۷]

بروز اسکیزوفرنی با سطح کم بکلین ۱ در هیپوکامپ مرتبط است که سبب کاهش خودخواری و افزایش مرگ سلول‌های عصبی می‌گردد.^[۸]
