ژان کاپار (فرانسوی: Jean Capart‎؛ ‏ ۲۱ فوریهٔ ۱۸۷۷ – ۱۶ ژوئن ۱۹۴۷) مصرشناس اهل بلژیک بود که اغلب از او به‌عنوان «پدر مصرشناسی بلژیک» یاد می‌شود.[۱]

کاپار در ۲۱ فوریهٔ ۱۸۷۷ در بروکسل از پدری به نام آلفونس کاپار، متخصص گوش و حلق و بینی، و مادری به نام آلیزا کاربونل به دنیا آمد.[۱][۲][۳] او مصرشناسی را زیر نظر کارل آلفرد ویدمان در دانشگاه بن آموخت.[۲] در سال ۱۹۰۲، او به‌عنوان نخستین کرسی مصرشناسی بلژیک در دانشگاه لیژ منصوب شد.[۴] در سال ۱۹۱۰، مؤسسهٔ عالی تاریخ هنر و باستان‌شناسی تأسیس شد و کاپار به‌عنوان استاد در آن منصوب گردید.[۵] در سال ۱۹۲۹، او استاد افتخاری دانشگاه شد و مسئولیت‌های آموزشی خود را به شاگردش، بودوئن فان دِ وال، واگذار کرد.[۶] او از سال ۱۹۲۷ تا ۱۹۲۹ و سپس در سال ۱۹۴۵ مدیر کاوش‌های باستان‌شناسی الکاب بود.[۱] دانشگاه مونترآل در سال ۱۹۳۹ به او مدرک دکترای افتخاری اعطا کرد.[۵] وی مدتی هم استاد مصرشناسی دانشگاه لیون بود.[۵]

در سال ۲۰۱۵، صندوق ژان کاپار (Fonds Jean Capart) «با هدف ترویج میراث تاریخی مصرشناس بلژیکی، ژان کاپار، به‌منظور پرورش هم‌زمان جنبه‌های تاریخی و علمی مصرشناسی در بلژیک» به افتخار او تأسیس شد.[۷]
