  • In the films at her early age she was credited as "Chumki Roy" and then "Rumki Roy". The name "Debashree Roy" was later given by Tarun Majumdar.[۱۸]
  • She refused offers to play lead opposite پروسنجیت چاترجی از their conjugal separation in 1995, leaving an ample scope to her contemporary ریتوپارنا سنگوپتا و Satabdi Roy.

وی در سال ۱۹۹۴ برنده جایزه ملی فیلم بهترین بازیگر زن شده است.

او در فیلم خیابان ۳۶ چورینگی، سوامی ویوکاناندا، اعمال برادر بزرگترم و سوامی ویوکاناندا بازی کرده است.
